Host your Party at Home
Being short on time, many popular party venues may be booked. Don’t worry you can still host a fantastic party at home. If the weather is nice, you could decorate your yard and have the party there. Or if the weather is not looking too good, push back the couches and set up the party in your living room.

The Cake
Baking and decorating cakes can be very stressful, especially if you still have other things to organize for your party. While I love baking cakes, when short on time I do cheat and purchase a cake. You could pop down to your local bakery or grocery store and pick up a cake or even cupcakes.

Music
Rather than create your own playlist, places like Spotify have pre-made playlists. Or you could try Amazon Music for a 30 days free trial. Simply choose an age appropriate play list and have this playing when your guests arrive. This creates a great party atmosphere and gets everyone in a good mood. If your son or daughter has a great karaoke machine or boom box then use that to pump the tunes out.
Party Games
You should definitely plan out a few party games. Whether you are planning a 60th Birthday, sweet sixteen or 1st Birthday party, games are great to help kick off your celebration and perfect to get guests mingling and talking. When planning these games take into consideration the ages of your guests and also how much time you have allocated for party games.
