Wreath Cupcakes

Ingredients

  • 1 box cake mix + additional ingredients per directions OR your favorite recipe
  • White buttercream frosting in a piping bag with a medium cut tip
  • Red buttercream frosting in a piping bag with a #10 tip
  • Green buttercream frosting in a piping bag with a #18 star tip
  • Christmas Themed sprinkles

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Line a muffin tin with paper liners.
  • Prepare cake mix according to package instructions. Fill each liner 2/3 full with batter.
  • Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 18 minutes. Cool cupcakes in pan for 5 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
  • First you will use the white buttercream to pipe a smooth flat swirl on each cupcake
  • Next you will use the red buttercream to pipe 2-4 horizontal stripes on each cupcake (see images for guide)
  • Finally you will use the green buttercream to pipe the wreath shape along the entire outer surface of the cupcake, then pipe and additional row inside
  • Decorate the wreath with the themed sprinkles, you can decorate them with as many or as little sprinkles as you like. You can see our images for different ideas
