Blackberry Mojito Mocktail

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup fresh blackberries – Juicy and sweet; these are the stars of the show.
  • 10 fresh mint leaves – These add a cool refreshing flavor that pairs beautifully with the berries.
  • 2 limes – Trust me, you want fresh lime juice here; it really lifts the drink.
  • 1 tablespoon agave syrup – For that hint of sweetness.
  • 1 cup sparkling water – Adds a little fizz and fun!
  • Ice cubes – To keep things chilly.
  • Lime slices and extra blackberries for garnish

Instructions

  • In a cocktail shaker or a jug, muddle the fresh blackberries and mint leaves. Press down until they release their juices and aromas.
  • Take one lime, cut it in half, and squeeze the juice right into your blackberry-mint mix.
  • Pour in that tablespoon of agave syrup.
  • Stir everything together to let the flavors combine.
  • Fill a glass with ice cubes. Now, carefully pour your blackberry and mint mixture over the ice.
  • Top the glass with sparkling water, leaving a bit of room for garnish.
  • Drop in a few more blackberries and a slice or two of lime. Stir gently to let everything swirl together.
  • For the final touch, you can pop a sprig of mint or a lime wedge on the rim.

Notes

  1. Get Creative with Flavors: Want a twist? Add some cucumber slices for extra freshness or a bit of ginger for a little spice. This recipe is versatile, feel free to make it your own!
  2. Adjust the Sweetness: Agave is a lovely, mild sweetener, but if you prefer honey or maple syrup, those work just as well. And if you’re watching sugar intake, try a tiny pinch of stevia.
  3. Double or Triple the Recipe: If you’re making this for a larger crowd, just scale up the ingredients. You might want to make it in a big pitcher instead of a shaker to save time. Plus, it’s a pretty drink to display!
  4. Serve in Fun Glasses: Part of the fun of mocktails is the presentation! Serve these in mason jars for a rustic feel or tall cocktail glasses if you’re feeling fancy.
